Check our work

October 12th, 2011

It’s been four and a half years or so since we opened dib creative. We just did a quick online promo book featuring a bunch of our work. I’m really proud of the work we’ve done over the years. And even better, there are some great stories behind the work.

MTV Spot for Chat About Jesus

Amazing how the Internet has helped spread the word about Jesus. It was great to be involved in this project.

This is the spot produced by ditoremayo entertainment has been running on MTV and promotes the Chat About Jesus site that we built. Great spot and a great message. You can see the spot here: http://vimeo.com/27735842

Chat About Jesus

September 14th, 2011

Every once and a while you get to work on a project that is motivating, fun and something you believe in. Here is one of those projects.

We built this site as a landing page for a campaign that NeedHim.org is running on MTV. It’s a simple site with a simple message and a simple action to take. How refreshing is that in a website. http://chataboutjesus.com/
In the first day the organization received 1,200 chat requests. Simple can still be effective.

DAL Trade Show

September 17th, 2010

Had a great mini-trade show at the DAL lunch on Tuesday. Lots of people interested in our video platform and our video production company dib Motion (www.dibmotion.com).

Engage Users

August 30th, 2010

We have done multiple “contest” campaigns for brands on the web. These contests are great ways to engage customers. A brand online has to be dynamic – it must give users a reason to come back and interact. This is almost expected in today’s online world. The questions you must ask are 1) Does the contest meet the business objectives; 2) Is the contest consistent with the brand strategy; 3) Is is compelling to the users; 4) Is there a way it can drive revenue. The last question being the most important and the hardest to answer.

App Contest?

August 24th, 2010

US Gov contest to build app to fight childhood obesity. http://springwise.com/weekly/2010-08-18.htm#appsforhealthykids. Maybe we should just send a scale to the parents. All kidding aside, good to see the gov is trying new ways to communicate to users.

My Kids, My Consumers

August 16th, 2010

It is amazing to be a father. One interesting thing is to watch my girls develop as consumers. With the DVR, they may not ever know what a :30 TV spot is (except for the Super Bowl). In fact, they don’t have much patience for commercials already. And they do know how to work the fast forward.

But then again, some things don’t change. My oldest daughter loves Barbie. That’s been around since Abe Lincoln I think. Even though technology will change how you market to younger generations, great brands are still great brands.

Doing great work while supporting a cause

August 14th, 2010

It’s not pro bono, but it makes me feel better than hocking real estate. We built a website for Ask.com with Four Man Furnace. It’s a cool idea that utilizes the community aspect of the web. No, I’m not going to throw out the term “Web 2.0″ or I’ll throw up. Check out the site, Ask is still going to put a big marketing push behind it to drive traffic, but the functionality of the site is there. http://www.answersforthecure.com/

We’ve had a great partnership with ATX Innovation out of Austin. It’s about time that the app makes its way to our backyard. Welcome to Big D.

My New Position at DAL

August 1st, 2010

I’m honored to be on the Board of Directors of the Dallas Ad League. The DAL goes back over 100 years, and did you know they started the first Better Business Bureau? I am also the MarComm committee chairman. What a great organization, I hope to add something to it.

What I’m working on now is concepting ideas on how an organization like this can generate revenue, especially digitally. I have a few ideas…more to come.
